Hankook Tire Signs Sponsorship Agreement with Corsa Motorsports

Hankook Tire Co. has signed on to be a sponsor and the exclusive tire supplier for Corsa Motorsports. Corsa will compete in the 2008 American Le Mans Series (ALMS) in the GT2 Class. ALMS is the premier road racing competition in North America. According to Hankook, the sponsorship within the series will be a showcase for Hankook performance tire technology and is the logical next step in the marketing and brand-building efforts to position Hankook as a market-driven technology-focused global brand.

Freudenberg-NOK General Partnership Acquires the Assets of Precision Industries

Freudenberg-NOK General Partnership acquired the assets of Precision Industries Corporation of Germantown, WI, a developer and manufacturer of specialized custom diaphragms. This acquisition provides Freudenberg-NOK with fabric reinforced diaphragm capabilities in North America, as well as on a global basis with its partners in Europe and Japan. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

R. L. Polk & Co. Expands Analytic Services

R. L. Polk & Co. is expanding its analytical services strength in two key areas which include the formation of an Advanced Analytics group led by Lionel Yron, and the expansion of the company’s Industry Analysis team. Lionel Yron has joined Polk as the director of advanced analytics to lead the newly formed Advanced Analytics group. In this role, Yron will oversee the design, development and delivery of Polk’s advanced analytical products and services. He and his team will proactively develop new means of delivering marketplace insight and intelligence to Polk’s customers.

Johnson Controls, Inc. (JCI) held a press conference yesterday evening at AAPEX to give aftermarket press and other attendees a better insight into the company’s automotive capabilities. Automotive Parts Associates Announces $1 Million Dollar Award Winner

Automotive Parts Associates, Inc. (APA) today at AAPEX presented BOSCH with an award recognizing an exciting achievement.
