RALEIGH, NC — Tommy Paul from Capitol City Body Works in Montgomery, AL, has been named the 2007 CARQUEST Automotive Finishes Excellence Award Winner. The award was presented Oct. 12 in Charlotte, NC.

The CARQUEST Automotive Finishes Excellence Award is the highest honor a professional business owner can receive from CARQUEST. It seeks to recognize the top collision center businesses in North America that, through the course of everyday service excellence, exemplifies the professionalism necessary to build public understanding and respect for people working in the auto service industry today. It is an award that is not won, but earned.

"Tommy Paul has definitely earned the honor as our Excellence Award winners," said Jay Sharp, vice president of marketing, CARQUEST Automotive Finishes. "He has worked his way up through the business, starting as a delivery driver, then being named general manager and eventually taking over ownership of the business. He exemplifies what the Excellence Award stands for."

Building on the success of the original owner, Capitol City Body Works has grown from a staff of two to more than 25 employees. Today, Capital City Body Works has 20 work stations, three frame machines, three paint booths, an upholstery shop and a glass shop. With the motto, "We’re not satisfied until you’re satisfied," Capital City Auto Works has a culture that treats their customers with friendly service and excellence repairs.
