Eric Farnsworth To Discuss Latin America: AASA Global Summit

VP of the Council of the Americas will share insights into political, social and business landscape in Latin America.

AASA announced that Eric Farnsworth, vice president of the Council of the Americas, will be a featured speaker during the 2020 AASA Global Summit, taking place Feb. 7 in Coral Gables, Florida.

In his session, “The Political & Social State of Latin America,” Eric will provide valuable highlights on the latest political and social shifts and trends shaping the aftermarket in Latin America.

“I am so pleased to be able to join the 2020 AASA Global Summit, a virtual who’s who of industry, during this time of disruption, and also opportunity in the Americas,” said Farnsworth. “From trade to development to migration, Latin America is undergoing significant transformation with destination not yet certain. 2020 will be a critically important year and I look forward to discussing issues of critical importance with those both literally and figuratively driving opportunity in the Americas.”

Farnsworth is the vice president and Washington head of the Vice President of the Council of the Americas, a private sector membership organization that for more than 50 years has helped to shape and promote the Western Hemisphere policy and commercial agenda. He is a sought-after speaker and frequently offers Congressional testimony and media commentary on hemispheric issues. Prior to the Council, Farnsworth served in the Clinton White House, the U.S. Department of State, the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, and U.S. Senate staff. He also worked in the private sector with Manatt Phelps and Phillips LLP.  He holds an MPA in International Relations from Princeton University.

“Eric’s perspectives and deep understanding of the social and political landscape in Latin America is an invaluable asset for aftermarket professionals looking to stay on top of the latest global trends,” said Ben Brucato, senior director of engagement and executive director of the Overseas Automotive Council (OAC). “We deeply appreciate his presence at the 2020 AASA Global Summit.”
