Karig is a speaker and independent consultant on automotive industry and foreign trade issues, as well as on Governance/ESG system implementation. He teaches Corporate Governance & Integrity at the IESDE School of Management in Puebla, Mexico. Previously, he worked for Volkswagen de Mexico in several management positions for 37 years, and most recently was the VP of Corporate Relations and Compliance Officer.
He was a member of the board of directors of the Mexican Association of the Automotive Industry, the Association of Mexican Truck Manufacturers, as well as the Mexican-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the last three years serving as Chairman. Karig sits on the board of directors of companies in the auto parts and real estate sectors.
