Bosch is broadening its workshop offerings by introducing A/C components to cover repair needs. This expansion includes A/C compressors and condensers for vehicles from various European manufacturers, initially featuring two key wear parts. The replacement parts range will gradually expand in the coming months.
To ensure quality, Bosch said it subjects its aftermarket A/C compressors and condensers to rigorous endurance, leak, and corrosion tests. This guarantees reliable performance and longevity. The compressors, available for commonly used refrigerants, come pre-filled with the correct amount of oil for easy installation, along with precisely fitting connections. The components are delivered in customized packaging for secure transportation and compact storage, Bosch said.
The Bosch portfolio already includes A/C service units, oils and accessories for air-conditioning system maintenance. Alongside the new A/C components, the workshop spare parts range encompasses drive belts, cabin filters and cabin blowers for modern vehicle air-conditioning systems. Bosch also offers a qualification certificate for air-conditioning technology in its training program, providing parts, test equipment, and service for air-conditioning system maintenance and repair from a single source.
With the increasing significance of air-conditioning systems, particularly in electric cars’ thermal management, Bosch is positioning itself as the expert in thermal systems for vehicles. The company offers a wide range of electric coolant pumps, solenoid valves, and engine cooling fans to ensure engine components operate within the optimal temperature range. In electric vehicles, the air-conditioning system will play a crucial role in cooling the battery, electric motor and power electronics, integrating into the thermal management system, which was previously focused on interior cooling, Bosch said.
