CARQUEST and Kellogg’s Sign Three-Year Co-Primary Sponsorship with Hendrick Motorsports

Kellogg Co. and CARQUEST Auto Parts have announced a unique three-year agreement with Hendrick Motorsports that secures the two companies as co-primary sponsors of the No. 5 Chevrolet driven by Kyle Busch in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series. Financial terms were not disclosed. Kellogg debuted as primary sponsor of the No. 5 Chevy in 1994, won the 1996 Cup championship with veteran Terry Labonte and continued its support when Busch took the wheel full-time in 2005.

Henkel Sponsors Carl Edwards in 2006 NASCAR Busch Series

Henkel of America has signed a sponsorship agreement with Roush Racing and driver Carl Edwards in the NASCAR Busch Series in 2006. Several Henkel brands will participate in the sponsorship of Edwards’ number 60 car, including Dial, Renuzit, Dep Sport, Combat, Loctite, Duck and Polyseamseal. Henkel will be a primary sponsor for 14 races and a major associate sponsor for the remaining 21 races in the 2006 season.

Valvoline to Sponsor NHRA Top Fuel Team in 2006

Valvoline this week announced it will sponsor the NHRA Top Fuel entry from David Powers Motorsports in 2006. Contract details were not announced. The agreement will include primary sponsorship at selected NHRA national events. The team has been sponsored by Valvoline, Mac Tools and DavidPowersHomes.com.

Henkel Teams Up with NASCAR Stars Bobby and Terry Labonte for Brumos Porsche 250 at Daytona International Speedway

Henkel in North America has teamed up with NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series stars Bobby and Terry Labonte as they race for the checkered flag in today’s Brumos Porsche 250 at Daytona International Speedway. The talented brothers will combine their skills to champion the No. 44 Doran Racing Pontiac Doran sponsored by Henkel, its Loctite brand, and Daytona USA.

DuPont and Hendrick Motorsports Extend NASCAR Sponsorship

DuPont and Hendrick Motorsports have announced the extension of DuPont’s longstanding sponsorship of the #24 Chevrolet Monte Carlo in the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series. The new pact builds on an association launched 13 years ago with 21-year-old rookie driver named Jeff Gordon. Under the new contract, DuPont continues as the primary sponsor for three years, through the 2008 racing season, with the option to extend for an additional two years. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Federal-Mogul Aftermarket Group Named ‘Vendor of the Year’ by Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance

Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance — Federal-Mogul’s largest aftermarket customer — recently awarded the company’s aftermarket group with its prestigious Vendor of the Year Award for 2004. The company was also honored with awards for Outstanding Marketing Support, Outstanding Manpower Support and Outstanding Web site. Additionally, Federal-Mogul was recognized for Outstanding Shipping Performance for its Anco, Champion, Fel-Pro, Precision and Wagner Lighting brands.

Federal-Mogul to Give Away Classic Chevrolet El Camino SS Through 2005 Training Promo

The Federal-Mogul Technical Education Center (TEC) will give away a 1966 Chevrolet El Camino SS with a “numbers-matching” engine and rare package of factory options to an engine rebuilder, professional technician or parts counterperson through its 2005 Federal-Mogul Training Excellence Sweepstakes. Any qualified aftermarket professional may enter the sweepstakes by enrolling in a 2005 TEC training workshop or field clinic, or by contacting TEC for course information. There is no entry fee or enrollment requirement. The Training Excellence Sweepstakes drawing will be held in mid-December 2005.

Cooper Tire to Sponsor Saturn Motorsports Racing Program

Cooper Tire & Rubber and its subsidiary Mickey Thompson Performance Tires and Wheels, has announced a new sponsorship and supply agreement with Saturn Motorsports. The agreement positions Cooper Tire as a major associate sponsor of the Saturn Motorsports Pro FWD Ion, driven by three-time world champion and current NHRA point’s leader, Lisa Kubo. Cooper Tire will also title sponsor a Saturn Motorsports tuner car slated to compete later this year in Sport FWD.
