Henkel Sponsors Carl Edwards in 2006 NASCAR Busch Series

Henkel of America has signed a sponsorship agreement with Roush Racing and driver Carl Edwards in the NASCAR Busch Series in 2006. Several Henkel brands will participate in the sponsorship of Edwards' number 60 car, including Dial, Renuzit, Dep Sport, Combat, Loctite, Duck and Polyseamseal. Henkel will be a primary sponsor for 14 races and a major associate sponsor for the remaining 21 races in the 2006 season.

ROCKY HILL, CT and GULPH MILLS, PA — Henkel of America has signed a sponsorship agreement with Roush Racing and driver Carl Edwards in the NASCAR Busch Series in 2006. Several Henkel brands will participate in the sponsorship of Edwards’ number 60 car, including Dial, Renuzit, Dep Sport, Combat, Loctite, Duck and Polyseamseal. Henkel will be a primary sponsor for 14 races and a major associate sponsor for the remaining 21 races in the 2006 season.

Carl Edwards, known for his signature “victory flip,” enjoyed a very successful Busch Series season in 2005, finishing third in the points standings and collecting five wins and 21 top-10 finishes. He also qualified for the Chase for the Cup in the 2005 Nextel Cup series, and finished the Cup series in third place. Roush Racing is one of the most successful teams in NASCAR history, with championships in each level of NASCAR’s highest levels of competition.

In addition to its Busch Series sponsorship, Henkel is also an Official Partner of Roush Racing. Henkel will collaborate with Roush Racing and Roush Industries, Livonia, MI, on assembly and maintenance applications for the Edwards’ car and will provide them with Loctite brand products.
