ASA’s new blog (http://blog.asashop.org) will provide commentary and analysis about the automotive service industry and association news. The new “President’s Blog,” which will be published bi-weekly, will be written by Ron Pyle, ASA’s president and chief staff executive.

Goerlich’s Inc. has announced plans change its corporate name to AP Exhaust Products Inc. AP Exhaust Products manufactures and markets exhaust system products under the brands of Goerlich’s, Merit, TruckEx and Xlerator Exhaust Systems. Navistar, Caterpillar Announce New Partnership; Navistar Awarded Ford Contract for Diesel Engine
Navistar International and Caterpillar have committed to a new business partnership that includes new licensing and supply agreements. As part of the agreement, both companies have agreed to dismiss all pending litigation between the two companies, some of which date back to 2001. In other news, Navistar company International Truck and Engine Corp., was recently awarded a contract to supply Ford Motor Co. with a new 6.4-liter Ford Power Stroke Diesel engine for the 2008 Ford F-Series Super Duty.
