Geotab Announces Sustainability Alliance

The collaboration involves 28 partners, each providing solutions and services aimed at enhancing fleet efficiency and reducing carbon emissions.

Geotab Inc., a connected transportation solutions provider, announced the formation of the Geotab Sustainability Alliance. This collaboration involves 28 partners, each providing unique solutions and services aimed at enhancing fleet efficiency and reducing carbon emissions. The alliance focuses on supporting fleets in sustainability efforts, risk reduction and meeting regulatory requirements.

This initiative addresses the challenge of decarbonizing transportation, a sector responsible for a significant portion of global greenhouse gas emissions. Through the alliance, Geotab aims to promote the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) and sustainable practices by offering innovative solutions and data-driven insights.

Neil Cawse, founder and CEO of Geotab, emphasized the role of data in environmental management. “Data insights are critical to measuring and managing environmental impact and moving the needle on sustainability. The Geotab Sustainability Alliance is accelerating change and helping organizations not only meet their targets, but improve their bottom line,” he said.

The alliance’s partners cover a broad range of sustainability services, including:

  • EV fleet and sustainability consultants: These consultants use data insights to enhance EV and sustainability services and software.
  • Emerging solutions: Geotab is working with companies developing new solutions in areas like ESG software, battery health, and charging services.

Eric Mallia, vice president of sustainability Solutions at Geotab, highlighted the increasing demand for data in fleet sustainability.

“As more companies invest in fleet sustainability to reduce costs and emissions, there is a growing need for quality data to help optimize fuel efficiency, routing, and EV charging,” he said. “The Geotab Sustainability Alliance is at the forefront of decarbonization and EVs, and has the combined solutions and expertise to help fleets address their challenges and adapt in a rapidly evolving industry.”
