icarz, Inc., a leading provider of software for in-store and distributor systems, has the announced appointment of Sanjay Apte to executive vice president. Apte will be responsible for software development, delivery and support.

Vince Daviero Named Director of Northwood’s University of the Aftermarket

Vincent Daviero has been named director of Northwood’s University of the Aftermarket, effective June 1. Daviero’s most recent position was director of training and education at Tires Plus franchise division of Bridgestone/Firestone-Morgan Tire & Auto Inc., where he produced materials for instructor-led sales training programs. His accomplishments include the conceptualization and development of instructional curricula and on-site instructor-led training programs.

Mitchell 1 Promotes Mellon to Marketing Manager

Rosana Mellon has been promoted to the position of marketing manager at Mitchell 1. In her new role, Mellon will now direct pricing and promotions efforts for the company’s full product line and its Snap-on/ShopKey channels. In addition, her new responsibilities will include overseeing the Mitchell 1 Premier Club, ShopKey rewards program as well as handling other corporate marketing projects.

ArvinMeritor Names David Devonshire to Board of Directors

Motorola Executive Vice President and CFO David Devonshire has been elected to the ArvinMeritor Board of Directors. His seat on the board becomes effective on July 22. Before joining Motorola in 2002, Devonshire was executive vice president and CFO for Ingersoll-Rand.

Richard Keister Leaves Delco Remy to Join Keystone Automotive

Richard Keister, president of Delco Remy International’s (DRI) Aftermarket Group, has announced he will resign on May 31 to join Keystone Automotive Industries, a supplier to the collision repair industry, as CEO. Keister will replace Charles Hogarty, who plans to retire on August 31. Hogarty will remain with the company as a consultant for a two-year period.

Jill Bookman Named CEO of American Collectors

Jill Bookman has been named CEO of American Collectors Insurance, Inc. (ACI). Bookman, who has been with the company for more than 10 years, will fill the newly created position immediately. ACI is a national specialty provider of collector car, truck and motorcycle insurance.

Dana CEO Michael Burns Takes On Additional Post as Chairman

The Dana Corp. board of directors has named president and CEO Michael Burns to the additional post of chairman. Burns becomes the eighth chairman in Dana’s 100-year history, succeeding Glen Hiner, who has served in the position since the death of former Dana Chairman and CEO Joe Magliochetti last September.

Genuine Parts Announces Officer Changes, Declares Dividend

The board of directors of Genuine Parts Co. (GPC) has approved two corporate officer changes. Frank Howard has been elected to the position of senior vice president and treasurer of GPC. Carol Yancey was elected to the position of vice president – finance and corporate secretary.

Dana Corp. has elected former Goodyear chairman Samir Gibara and David Berges, chairman, CEO and president of Hexcel Corp. to its board of directors. Dana Chairman Glen Hiner made the announcement.

David Sherbin has been named senior vice president, general counsel and secretary for Federal-Mogul Corp. Sherbin will assume overall responsibility for the legal and compliance affairs of Federal-Mogul. Sherbin joined the company in 1997 as associate general counsel.

Ken-Tool Names New Controller

After nearly 39 years of service John Passalinqua is retiring from his position as controller of Akron, Ohio-based specialty tool company Ken-Tool. His retirement is effective April 30. Replacing Passalinqua is Doug Romstadt who joined Ken-Tool in March.

Tartaglione Named VP of Sales and Marketing for Wells Manufacturing

Longtime aftermarket veteran Bruce Tartaglione was recently named vice president of sales and marketing for Wells Manufacturing. Wells is a leading manufacturer and supplier of OE and aftermarket engine management products.
