On May 8, an organization that provides shelter for young people in difficult situations will experience a very important donation – the presentation of a vehicle to enhance its ability to serve clients – thanks to the National Auto Body Council Recycled Rides program along with car donor Allstate and collision repair partner Gerber Collision & Glass.
WHO: NABC Recycled Rides program, along with:
- Allstate, which provided the vehicle
- Gerber Collision & Glass, whose technicians fully refurbished the vehicle
- Covenant House New Orleans, the recipient of the donation
WHAT: NABC, Allstate and Gerber Collision & Glass will present a refurbished 2015 Chevy Tahoe to a deserving agency:
Covenant House New Orleans provides shelter, counseling and other support to youth who have become homeless. In many cases, the clients are victims of trafficking or some other form of abuse. Covenant House provides training in life skills to make them ready for school or work. Covenant House New Orleans is part of a national network serving 34 cities. This new vehicle will enable them to meet the wide variety of transportation needs of youth who live at Covenant House New Orleans and fully support their transition from surviving to thriving.
Since the inception of the NABC Recycled Rides program in 2007, members of the National Auto Body Council have donated more than 3,300 vehicles valued at some $47 million, according to NABC.
Additional partners in the NABC Recycled Rides® presentation include Copart, Glass America, All Clear Diagnostics, Advanced Remarketing Services and Cars for Charity.
