American Axle & Manufacturing Appoints New CFO

American Axle & Manufacturing Holdings, Inc. (AAM) has appointed Thomas Martin to the position of vice president of finance and CFO. Martin replaces former AAM Executive Vice President and CFO Robin Adams, who left the company in April to become executive vice president, CFO and chief administrative officer at BorgWarner.

Raytech President and CEO Albert Canosa to Retire

Raytech Corp. President and CEO Albert Canosa has announced he will retire effective June 1. Canosa worked for Raytech for 24 years. He became president and CEO in 1998 and served as the company’s CFO from 1986 to 1998. The board has named Larry Singleton as interim president and CEO.

Former Goodyear Exec Named Alcoa Cast Auto Wheels President

Former Goodyear executive Kevin Kramer has been named president of Alcoa’s Cast Auto Wheels division. In this role, Kramer will be responsible for the development and growth of Alcoa’s cast auto wheel business worldwide. Kramer comes to Alcoa after a 21-year career with Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. in Akron, Ohio, where he most recently served as vice president Original Equipment Sales, North American Tires.

Bendix to Add More Than 30 New Jobs at Ohio Headquarters

Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC, said it will add more than 30 engineers, information technology specialists and supply chain professionals to support its staff. The company said surging demand for its medium- and heavy-duty truck products has resulted in the need for additional staff. Bendix currently employs 1,800 in North America, including 450 at its Elyria, Ohio, headquarters.

Sika Automotive Names John Sienkiewicz Vice President, Automotive Sales

Sika Automotive has named John Sienkiewicz vice president – automotive sales. In this role, Sienkiewicz will be responsible for planning and execution of all sales objectives for the automotive division. Sienkiewicz joins Sika from Midwest Stamping where he was vice president of sales and marketing.

Visteon Appoints New Executive Vice President and CFO

Visteon has appointed James Palmer as executive vice president and CFO, effective June 2. Palmer replaces Daniel Coulson, who retired on March 31, after 38 years at Visteon and Ford Motor Co.

Ira Davis Joins ARI

Ira Davis has joined ARI as vice president of purchasing and logistics. Davis brings broad experience in purchasing, remanufacturing and distribution to ARI. He comes from Forecast Products where he served as vice president, general manager for the company, with a focus on importing and distribution of automotive components, since 2002. Prior to that assignment, he worked with Beck/Arnley from 1976 to 2001.

Tom O’Brien Joins ARI

Tom O’Brien, former vice president of marketing at Dana Brake and Chassis, has joined ARI as vice president sales, special markets. In this new position, O’Brien will be responsible for national accounts, co-manufacturers, OE service and export sales for all ARI divisions.

ThyssenKrupp Budd Names Three Corporate Vice Presidents

The Board of Directors of ThyssenKrupp Budd Co. has elected three new corporate vice presidents. Markus Boening has been named corporate vice president and CFO. He formerly served as director, corporate finance and controlling. He joined the company in December 2003 after serving as senior project manager in the Mergers & Acquisitions Department of ThyssenKrupp AG in Duesseldorf, Germany.

Visteon Names Jim Ryan Director, North America Aftermarket Sales

Visteon has named Jim Ryan as its new director of North America Aftermarket Sales. In this role, Ryan will be responsible for the growth and development of Visteon’s North American Aftermarket Underhood Parts business,which offers products ranging from air conditioning and heat transfer to starters and alternators. Ryan recently served as vice president of sales, specialty product groups of Dana. During his 22-year tenure with Dana, Ryan held various sales positions including vice president of sales, NAPA Underhood Group and national sales manager.

Bosch Expands Corporate Affairs VP Position

Bosch Group has announced the expansion of Sylvia Vogt’s current position — vice president, corporate affairs for North America — to include corporate affairs activities for South America. In this new role, Vogt is responsible for strategic planning and regional reporting, select cross-divisional and cross-regional projects, communications and public image management for the Americas region. She also will maintain her current responsibilities for communications activities, government and community relations and charitable contributions in North America.

Aftermarket Technology Corp. Appoints New CFO

Aftermarket Technology Corp.’s board of directors has appointed Todd Peters as CFO, succeeding Barry Kohn who has resigned, to pursue a new business opportunity. Peters joined ATC in March as the company’s vice president of finance. Prior to joining the company he was employed by TriMas Corp.
