Dayco, a leading engine products and drive systems supplier for the automotive, industrial and aftermarket industries, once again enjoyed a strong presence at one of the world’s largest automotive aftermarket trade fairs, the 2015 Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX).
Held Nov. 3-5 at the Sands Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, AAPEX brings together the world’s best-known automotive aftermarket manufacturers, buyers, distributors and marketers each year in tandem with the world-renowned Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show.
Dayco reports that its Australian office was well-represented at AAPEX 2015 with Managing Director Arnold Mouw in attendance, who also was representing Australia in his role as chairman of the Australian Automotive Aftermarket Association (AAAA) Automotive Products Manufacturers and Exporters Council.
Mouw welcomed Victorian MP Craig Ondarchie, Shadow Minister for Investment and Jobs and Shadow Minister for Trade, to the Dayco stand at AAPEX 2015 on Thursday, Nov. 5.
“We were delighted to welcome Craig to our stand at AAPEX 2015 and it was very encouraging to note his interest and enthusiasm for Australian manufacturers exhibiting at this extremely important international trade expo,” said Mouw. “Craig took the time to take a close look at the Dayco products and engineering expertise on show at AAPEX 2015, also learning of our export success in the United States, along with North and South America, of our locally designed and manufactured harmonic balancers and pulleys. These products were also of great interest to the many thousands of buyers who visited this global expo.”
According to Ondarchie, his first visit to AAPEX provided him with a true insight of the export success, product quality and potential that exists within the Australian automotive aftermarket industry on a global stage.
“I stood as a proud Australian at AAPEX 2015 to congratulate Dayco’s commitment to global innovation and excellence and to thank Arnold Mouw for his leadership in driving our export opportunities,” said Ondarchie.
This was the second Dayco expo stand visit by key Australian Members of Parliament this year, with Federal Senators Kim Carr, Nick Xenophon and Ricky Muir visiting the company’s award-winning stand at the Australian Automotive Aftermarket Expo (AAAE) held in April at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Center.
