A competition aimed especially at visitors from the workshop sector – the “Mechanic Games” – will be held at the upcoming Automechanika Frankfurt, Sept. 16-17. On the Agora outdoor area, participants can compete in a variety of disciplines and earn points. The most successful male competitor, the most successful female competitor and the most successful team of a maximum of three people can each win a prize of €250 (approximately $277 USD). The awards ceremonies will be held in the mornings and afternoons of Sept. 16-17.
Competitors must take part in at least four events of the 10 offered and can demonstrate their skills and expertise in piston lifting, high striking, a racing car challenge, bull riding, SMART course, 3-D puzzle, football simulator, hoop-la, headlamp-beam setter race and Carrera racing with bike power. The aim is to gain as many points as possible. A maximum of 20 points can be achieved per event. Participants will be awarded at least five points per event just for taking part. If a participant takes part in more than four events, only the best four will be counted. Team participants also can participate as individuals in a second attempt and vice versa. The winner will be the person/team with the most points.
Advance registration is now open online at mechanic-games.automechanika.com. Upon registering, all Mechanic Games participants will receive a free ticket voucher for Sept. 16 or 17.
