Peach State Truck Centers In Austell, Georgia, Receives Daimler Trucks Elite Support Certification

Peach State Truck Centers has Elite Support certified locations in Jefferson, Forest Park and McDonough, Georgia, as well as one in Birmingham, Alabama.

Peach State Truck Centers in Austell, Georgia, has been certified as Elite Support by Daimler Trucks of North America on Sept. 6. The company says this marks the fifth Peach State location to receive the dealership accolade.

peach-state-eliteThe Austell branch of Peach State Truck Centers, located near Six Flags Over Georgia, started as a small parts operation that grew rapidly since opening its doors in 2000. In 2014, the branch moved into its current building, which was formerly a Coca-Cola warehouse.

“Refitting an old Coke warehouse into a heavy-duty truck dealership has been challenging to say the least,” said Service Manager Kevin Davis. “But transforming it into an Elite Support certified dealership has been a long road for sure.”

Over the course of 18 months, Davis — along with Parts Manager Luis Agra, Continuous Improvement Coordinator James Tucker and Shop Foreman Warren Henderson — worked on the location’s transition. Managers and personnel from other Peach State Elite Support locations pitched in to help the Austell team on improving facilities, as well as the culture.

“Finishing up this whole process of certification you really see how proud everyone is of the work that’s been done,” said Davis. “Every one of our people here really stepped it up to make this happen and they deserve all of the credit.”

Elite Support is a customer-focused way of doing business, a set of criteria that must be met by the dealership to be certified and a commitment by that dealership to continuous improvement. When a dealership is granted Elite Support certification, customers know that the service they receive will be of the highest standard, and that standard will be met at any Elite Support dealership they use across the country.
