The heavy duty brake manufacturing industry supports efforts by National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) to reduce the required stopping distance for truck tractors by 20 to 30 percent.
Delphi Makes Personnel Changes in Aftermarket Division
Delphi recently announced two personnel moves for Delphi Product & Service Solutions, the company’s aftermarket division. Frank Ofiero was named director of sales & marketing, service operations. Julie Pongrac has been appointed global marketing manager responsible for leading the product, price and sales strategy, and managing the thermal, vehicle electronics, undercar and bulk product managers.

PAACE Automechanika Mexico Sells Out
Exhibit space for the PAACE Automechanika Mexico, which runs Wednesday, July 13, through Friday, July 15, at Centro Banamex Hipodromo de las Americas in Mexico City, is sold out for the first time in its history. Show organizers report that sales for exhibit space increased 20 percent over 2004 and record attendance is expected for the 12th straight year.

Bosch Announces Executive Changes in its North American Automotive Aftermarket Division
Robert Bosch Corp. has announced a number of changes in its North American Automotive Aftermarket Division. David Caracci, vice president of sales – national accounts, will retire on May 15. The company said Caracci may continue to support the firm occasionally on various aftermarket initiatives, but plans to spend much of his time at his favorite hobby — yacht racing. An aftermarket veteran of thirty-two years, and currently chairman of the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association Board of Directors, Caracci said he is also looking forward to investing more of his time into industry volunteer projects.
