Johnson Controls has announced Trent Nevill has been appointed a vice president of the company, as well as president, Asia Pacific, making him a corporate officer effective immediately. In this critical leadership role, Nevill is responsible for driving enterprise leadership, strategy, fast-paced growth and functional management for all of Johnson Controls’ businesses across the Asia Pacific region. He will be based in the company’s corporate headquarters in Shanghai. He will serve as Johnson Controls’ most senior leader in the region, working with governments and industry to ensure Johnson Controls’ presence and commitment are well-understood and embraced in the marketplace, the company stated.
“Johnson Controls has made a strategic commitment to China, as we continue to invest in our business there and build capabilities coincident with our new headquarters in Shanghai,” said Alex Molinaroli, chairman and CEO, Johnson Controls. “Trent’s experience with the company and demonstrated ability as a seasoned leader in our buildings business make him uniquely qualified to lead our Asia Pacific team through the next phase of growth for Johnson Controls in the region.”
Nevill initially joined Johnson Controls in 1995 as an account executive with the company’s Building Efficiency branch office in San Antonio. Over the past 20 years, he has steadily advanced through numerous sales, operations and general management roles. Most recently, he served as vice president and general manager, systems and services, North America, since 2014.
Nevill holds a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering from Texas A&M University.
