JLM Lubricants Launch Best- of- Breed Automatic Transmission Products

JLM Lubricants Adds to Transmission Products Line

The company announces the release of JLM Automatic Transmission Flush and Automatic Transmission Stop Leak & Conditioner.

Global brand JLM Lubricants has added to its roster of trade trusted products with two products designed to maintain the health of automatic vehicles by launching an Automatic Transmission Flush and an Automatic Stop Leak and Conditioner. The company says this signifies another move by the brand to design and deliver workshop standard products that technicians can select with confidence as part of vehicle servicing and maintenance. And it dovetails with JLM’s brand strategy of delivering products that tick the boxes of ‘Repair don’t Replace’ and ‘Products over Parts.’

Speaking from JLM’s headquarters in Amsterdam, Gilbert Groot, CEO, and founder said, “Many distributors were asking us to launch these products because of the growing demand from their trade customers. So, I’m delighted to bring to the market these two trade-only products that are the best of breed in their category. In the last decade automatic transmission (AT) vehicles have grown in popularity, but the AT system must be well maintained. Ignore it and you can shave years off the expected life span of a vehicle.”

JLM’s Automatic Transmission Flush is the solution to poor shift quality which occurs when sludge and other contaminants lodge in the narrow fluid passages in the valve body before lodging in the filter.

“Our product has no aggressive solvents, but it removes grime, varnish, and wear deposits. It’s also compatible with all AT fluids,” said Groot. “The net result is improved AT performance and increased service life.”

The second product, Automatic Transmission Stop Leak & Conditioner conditions the seals and rings to stop and prevent leaks, extending the life of the transmission. The strong dispersing agents also prevent the formation of sludge.

Explaining the need for this product, Groot said: “Over time AT fluid deteriorates, especially if the transmission becomes extremely hot, due to towing or hauling for example. This intense heat causes transmission fluid to oxidize or break down with the resultant formation of sludge which interferes with shifting. The contaminated fluid cannot provide the correct frictional properties for transmission. Ignore this and the vehicle begins to shift hard and erratically. The seals will also harden leading to cracking and leaking.”

“These products are crucial as part of ongoing servicing and maintenance because they keep vehicles on the road for longer and in good repair with improved fuel economy an important benefit too. The professional mechanic has a key role to play in educating customers about the importance of a healthy AT system. When they put their trust in JLM they have ultimate peace of mind that in doing so they really are choosing the best,” concluded Groot.
