Premium tiremaker Hankook Tire will present some of the company’s latest innovations at the 66th International Motor Show (IAA) from Sept. 15-27, in Frankfurt. Hankook Tire delivers its products as original equipment to premium car brands such as Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and Volkswagen.
This year, the focus of Hankook Tire’s fair appearance in Hall 8 booth D36 / F36 will be on newly developed winter tire line-up for the European markets. The new generation of the ultra-high performance winter tire series i*cept was especially developed for central and western European winter conditions and is equipped with a new silica compound. In combination with its asymmetric tread design, which is optimized for snow performance. The new winter tire flagship Hankook Winter i*cept evo² offers enhanced driving performance on snow and superior traction in wet and dry conditions. For its design, the Hankook Winter i*cept evo² has already been recognized with the international Red Dot Award. For the first time, the new tire generation will be available in speed rating W (up to 270 km/h) as well as in a special version for modern SUVs.
Hankook Tire says it follows the guiding principle of the IAA and displays the newest trends and technological advancements of the company’s global R&D activities. Examples include its “Next Driving Lab” driving simulator and its current Red Dot and IDEA awards winning concept tires. The driving simulator Next Driving Lab offers fair visitors the chance to witness the driving experience of the future. In addition, Hankook Tire will showcase its new concept tires Bootstrac, Alpike and hyBlade, which have been developed in close cooperation with students at Pforzheim University.

Visitors to the Hankook Tire booth at IAA can look forward to additional highlights, such as an interviews and autograph sessions with the football stars of Borussia Dortmund, Sydney Hoffmann of the PS Profis, as well as current DTM pilots such as Bruno Spengler (BMW). In addition, sports fans will have the chance to see a DTM race car and the official UEFA Europa League Trophy on display at the Hankook Tire booth.
