GRI Wins Silver at the 29th Annual Export Awards

GRI won the Silver Award in the Rubber Tires and Accessories Sector from the National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka.

GRI was recognized for its contribution to the Sri Lankan export sector when it won the Silver Award in the Rubber Tires and Accessories Sector at the 29th Annual Export Awards by the National Chamber of Exporters (NCE) of Sri Lanka recently. The theme of this year’s Award Ceremony was “Rise, Rebuild & Regain,” and GRI has throughout this difficult time risen to the challenge and persevered in its endeavours to export Sri Lankan manufactured specialty tires to the global market.

Dr. Mahesha Ranasoma, CEO of GRI, said, “This award is a testament to our constant drive to cater to our diverse markets overseas despite the global and local challenges we faced in 2021. The commitment of our customers who trust us and through continuous improvement of our manufacturing operations, we have been able to offer a global brand of high-performance specialty off-road tires that have brought tangible results to Sri Lanka. This includes valuable foreign earnings for the country, identifying opportunities, which in turn harnesses the human resource potential and manufacturing capabilities of the country, while also investing to continuously produce a world-class range of products.”

Winning an NCE Award reflects the high quality of the product, work ethics, dedication, uniqueness and contribution to the economy by an exporting organization. GRI through its continuous pursuit for excellence is committed to integrity, being purposeful, passionate, far-sighted, relentless and customer-focused.

Founded in 2002 by Prabhash Subasinghe, managing director, GRI produces material handling solid tires, radial agriculture tires and construction tires. GRI has operations in nine countries, and a business presence in more than 50 countries worldwide. Since 2018, GRI has been advancing in the rapid expansion of its specialty tire production plants and tire compound mixing facilities in Sri Lanka as well as its operations in key countries.
