Future Emissions: How To Achieve New Global Targets

About James Taylor

James Taylor graduated from Brunel University in 2000 where he studied Mechanical Engineering. During his degree Taylor was sponsored by Rolls-Royce and completed a number of industrial placements in the marine division. After graduation in 2000 he joined Cosworth Technology as a graduate trainee, which was under Audi ownership at the time and subsequently became MAHLE Powertrain in 2005 following acquisition by the MAHLE Group. After completing his traineeship, he worked in the Calibration Department working on numerous vehicle performance demonstrator and OBD calibration projects for major OEMs. In 2009, Taylor joined the Development Department and worked on projects researching novel technologies before moving onto to a role as lead development engineer on a high-performance engine program. Following this, he supervised a number of Performance and Emissions projects and in 2018 became head of this section of the business at MAHLE Powertrain UK.

Taylor recently became the chief engineer for the Analysis, Development and Optimization group at MAHLE Powertrain Limited, based in Northampton in the UK, and in this role he has been instrumental in developing MAHLE Powertrain’s analysis, optimization and development testing capabilities to ensure that it remains one of the most flexible and agile Engineering Service Provider’s specializing in the design and development of advanced engineering solutions for internal combustion engines, electrified powertrains systems and beyond.
