Autopromotec: Determined To Protect The Sector

The 29th edition of the exhibition is postponed until May 25-28, 2022.

Autopromotec this week announced the postponement of the next edition, originally scheduled in Bologna on May 26-29, 2021. The event is now rescheduled to 25-28th May, 2022.

In the heart of the Italian Motor Valley, Autopromotec, an event that has gathered all aftermarket product groups for more than 50 years, made the important decision after a deep analysis of the economic and sanitary framework on a global scale, having as its primary goal the protection of its nearly 1,700 exhibiting companies, with a share of 43% from abroad (based on data from the 2019 edition), that traditionally choose it as a showcase for their products and services.

The postponement to 2022, a year identified by many analysts as that of the economic recovery, will enable the exhibiting companies to invest their financial resources at a more appropriate moment, thus being able to maximize business opportunities, which has always been a strong point of the Bologna exhibition. Following the postponement, the show will now take place in even-numbered years.

“The COVID-19 pandemic continues to register high rates of contagion, and severe limitations to international travels persist,” said Renzo Servadei, Autopromotec CEO. “A proper planning on the part of all the players of the sector is crucial to create a high-level event, but the uncertainty related to the measures to deal with the sanitary crisis makes it difficult to national and international exhibitors and visitors to plan their business travels well in advance.”

“The pre-registration forms received from exhibiting companies up until now, however, are consistent with those of the past editions,” Servadei continued. “In order to accompany the sector to 2022, Autopromotec is working on a digital project that, in May 2021, will support companies in view of the full restart of their activities, keeping them in touch with the global market.”
