AASA Says Mexico Technology Summit Was ‘A Huge Success’

Driven by growing interest in technology, AASA is planning activities for a second Technology Summit to be held at INA PAACE Automechanika Mexico City in 2020.

The Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) hosted its first annual Mexico Technology Summit recently during the INA PAACE Automechanika show in Mexico City. Business and technology leaders representing several dozen manufacturers and distributors attended the event.

“The Summit focused on business intelligence, data formats and other business technologies required for efficiencies and effectiveness in meeting the demands of Mexico’s repair facilities and consumers,” said Chris Gardner, senior vice president of AASA. “The Mexican aftermarket is working hard to integrate and deploy the same cutting-edge technologies that Europe and the U.S. have already adopted to create those efficiencies.”

Topics explored at the Summit included:

• Use of Product and Application Data for the Mexican Aftermarket – Epicor Software

• Technology Adoption Gaps Between Europe, U.S. and Mexico – TecAlliance

• Data Analytics: Fastest Way to Fast Growth – JATO
