Automotive teams working with Mexico can learn how to improve operations performance by watching the newly-released On Demand Seminar, “Bridging Cultures to Drive Performance,” presented by Sam Yankelevitch, CEO of Xpress Lingo Solutions.

In the 21-minute seminar, produced by GlobalBusinessProfessor.com and GlobalAutoIndustry.com, Yankelevitch shares practical knowledge, tools and tips to understanding how Mexican culture drives behaviors and how to improve performance and execution in the automotive industry. Yankelevitch discusses stereotypes and changes happening today in Mexican traditions that impact the way business is done. He also presents a framework of four cultural dimensions that assist in understanding the differences between the two cultures: individualism vs. collectivism, power distance, high vs. low context and monochronic vs. polychronic time. The rationale for investing time in forming personal relationships with Mexican partners and strategies for ensuring messages are clearly understood is also presented.

Yankelevitch will be facilitating a workshop in person at Automation Alley Headquarters in Troy, Michigan on November 6. The half-day seminar will present methodologies for incorporating lean concepts such as standard work, PDCA, root cause analysis and A3 thinking to improve intercultural communication. Participants in the seminar will learn how to avoid misunderstandings and reduce waste rooted in language, culture and distance. To register for the seminar, click here.
