Dayco Expands Presence In Industrial, Agricultural Markets In South America

This expansion follows the launch of the company's new line of industrial and agricultural belts at Agrishow 2016.

Dayco has expanded its presence in the general industrial and agricultural end-markets following a successful launch of its new line of industrial and agriculture belts. The aftermarket belts were introduced to customers and prospective customers during Agrishow 2016, one of the largest agriculture-focused tradeshows in the world, held April 25-29, in Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo, Brazil.

Dayco - Agrishow BoothDayco agriculture belts are designed for application-specific requirements with proven performance in the laboratory and during field-testing. Developed to meet ISO 9001 specifications, Dayco agriculture belts are manufactured with high-quality materials and provide multiple benefits to the end-user and machinery. All Dayco agriculture belts are built to resist stretch, heat, oil, chemicals, ozone and aggressive weather conditions without jeopardizing machinery power or performance. Dayco’s new line of agriculture belts cover a large percentage of manufactured agricultural equipment in use today.

“We were optimistic about the belt launch at Agrishow 2016 given the performance of the agriculture and industrial markets in South America,” said João Ramon, president of Dayco in South America. “It made sense to unveil the agriculture belt line in South America as the continent accounts for more than 50 percent of soybean production worldwide. In addition, South America is rich in other crops such as corn, rice, cotton and grains. We will now review our options to expand this product offering to our loyal customers worldwide.”

Last December, Dayco also announced the availability of its new industrial belt line in South America. Ranging from low horsepower machinery to high-output equipment, Dayco’s industrial belt portfolio covers nearly all applications that use belts to transmit power in the general industrial, fleet, lawn and garden, mining, construction and oilfield industries. Among the belts released to the industrial market are both v-belts and synchronous belts designed specifically for industrial applications.

“Dayco is well-positioned to leverage its existing customer relationships and brand strength as well as its global manufacturing and technical capabilities to grow our industrial presence worldwide,” said John Bohenick, CEO for Dayco.

Marketed and sold under the Dayco Gold Label and ISORAN sub-brands, all industrial v-belts and synchronous belts are also manufactured to resist stretch, heat, oil, chemicals, ozone and aggressive weather conditions without jeopardizing machinery power or performance.

“When using Gold Label and ISORAN products, our customers are using the highest quality belts in the industrial aftermarket,” added Bohenick.

Dayco’s customers will have another opportunity to view the entire industrial belt line during the upcoming International Mecânica Tradeshow, May 17-21, at Anhembi Pavilion in São Paulo, Brazil. Dayco will be exhibiting in booth No. F600. For more information visit mecanica.com.br/Credenciamento.
