TEMOT International has welcomed leading Southeast Asian distributor SUAN HUAT Auto Corp. (SHAC) to its business network. The company supplies more than 1,000 customers on the Malaysian peninsula with a range of spare parts and is one of the country’s largest aftermarket retailers. Malaysia is one of the most promising markets in the ASEAN region, according to TEMOT.
SHAC started operations in 2003. In the years that followed, the company headquartered in Petaling Jaya expanded strongly to quickly cover the whole peninsula. In doing so, it established 12 further branches evenly spread across the distribution area and set up a central warehouse with a capacity of more than 1,900 square meters (20,451 square feet).
In parallel to this regional expansion, the company invested in the enhancement of its product lines. Today, the portfolio includes car body parts, braking and steering systems, filters, vehicle electronics, exhaust, sensors and engine control components as well as parts for A/C.
SHAC works with many major international suppliers with a strong footprint in original equipment, and is continuously expanding its workforce. The firm currently employs more than 150 people who work to fulfill customer demands, whether in sales, service or logistics. SHAC also has earned a strong reputation as a specialist for parts for German premium car manufacturers such as Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen and BMW.
