Second Acquisition This Week for 1-800-Radiator

BENICIA, CA — 1-800-Radiator has announced its second acquisition this week. The distribution franchise has purchased San Diego, CA-based automotive cooling parts business AAA Radiator Warehouse. Earlier this week, 1-800-Radiator announced the purchase of New York’s two Tri-US Radiator locations.

"Our business is in growth mode," said Mike Rippey, CEO of 1-800-Radiator. "We are expanding rapidly throughout the U.S. With the purchase of AAA Radiator and the Tri-US locations in New York, we strengthen our presence on both the east and west coasts."

For the past 29 years, AAA Radiator Warehouse was a family-owned and operated company with both retail and wholesale divisions. The retail side, Radiator Stores, Inc., and the wholesale side, AAA Radiator Warehouse, had several locations throughout Southern California. At the time of sale, the company had 22 employees, many of whom are being retained by 1-800-Radiator.

"1-800-Radiator franchises are a new way of doing business and are a departure from the big box large distribution service. By having owner-operators servicing targeted geographical areas, customers get a high level of personalized service," said AAA Radiator Warehouse’s Owner Blair Laframboise.
