SOUTHFIELD, MI — Those who attended the Aftermarket e-Forum in Chicago earlier this month learned the importance of implementing industry standards for aftermarket data. Now, to provide specific education for implementing the standards, Northwood University’s University of the Aftermarket, in conjunction with its association sponsors and the Electronic Commerce Committee will present “Industry Standards For Aftermarket Data” Seminar.
R.L. Polk & Co. will host the seminar on Nov. 15 and 16 at its headquarters in Southfield, Mich. Scott Luckett, AAP, vice-president, technology standards and solutions for the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA), will be the lead instructor for the seminar.
The program will give participants the training necessary to successfully implement AAIA’s new enhanced e-CAT Standards on day one and Product Information Exchange Standard (PIES) on day two. Those responsible for development and management of application and product information databases — catalog managers, product managers and product database managers — are encouraged to attend.
Attendees to the entire seminar will earn 1.4 CEU’s toward AAP/MAAP designation. Attending Day One is worth .8 CEU’s for AAP/MAAP designation; Day Two is worth .6 CEU’s for AAP/MAAP designation. AAP/MAAP concentration: Manufacturer, Store Operations, Marketing/Sales Management, and Management information Systems.
The fee for the seminar is $495 per person for both days, $275 for day one (e-CAT Standards), or $275 for day two (PIES). The deadline for early registration is Oct. 18.
