Vertical Development (VDI), through its e-Publisher content management system, is now helping aftermarket newcomer E3 Spark Plugs introduce its advanced ignition technology throughout North America. Founded in 1997, E3 invested years of research developing an advanced electrode for spark plugs that would increase power output, reduce fuel consumption and decrease emissions. When they began marketing their new spark plug line earlier this year, E3 contracted Vertical Development.

Alltrade Launches New line of HOT ROD Branded Automotive Tools

Shop tool and equipment maker Alltrade Tools LLC recently launched a new line of branded automotive tools and garage equipment, using the Hot Rod magazine name for the new brand. Alltrade teamed up with PRIMEDIA Enterprises, the licensing merchandising division of PRIMEDIA Inc., which publishes HOT ROD magazine. This is the second HOT ROD product line to launch following last year’s debut of the HOT ROD line of garage furniture produced by Sauder Woodworking.

DENSO Names New CEO of North American Headquarters

Mitsuo Matsushita has been appointed president and CEO of DENSO’s North American headquarters, DENSO International America. Matsushita has been president and COO of the company since July 2002. His predecessor, Tony Takeuchi, who served as chairman and CEO since July 1, 2002, has retired. He will continue to serve as honorary advisor, representing the company on several industry and trade association boards.
