I-CAR Appoints Market Development Analyst

I-CAR has announced the appointment of Robert Humpal to the position of Market Development Analyst effective immediately. Humpal will report to Joyce Kasmer, I-CAR director of marketing and will be responsible for data mining and statistical analysis/modeling to identify key touch factors that influence and/or predict customer behavior. He will be accountable for collecting and analyzing market segment and industry data to support strategic planning. His role is critical in providing I-CAR fact-driven data on market needs, which will ultimately help the promotion of I-CAR products and services. Humpal will be a key leader in analyzing ‘Voice of the Industry’ data, which is necessary to collect and assess to provide the industry the training it demands.

ACC Announces 2008 Automotive Scholarship Recipients

The Automotive Communication Council (ACC) has announced the winners of its two scholarships in the annual Global Automotive Aftermarket Symposium Scholarship (GAAS) program. The ACC is a professional organization comprised of individuals in the automotive aftermarket specializing in marketing communications. The scholarships were earmarked for students focusing on marketing, public relations, journalism, advertising or a related field within the aftermarket. This year’s winners will each receive a $1,000 scholarship for the 2008-2009 academic year.
