Bearing Technologies Names Ken Lark VP of Sales and Marketing

Ken Lark has been named vice president of sales and marketing at Bearing Technologies, Ltd. (BT), a manufacturer and private labeler of wheel hub assemblies and clutch release, racing, repair and industrial bearings. Reporting directly to BT President and CEO Laz Tromler, Lark will serve in the same capacity for North Coast Bearings, Inc. (NCB), a major supplier of differential and transmission rebuild kits, bearings and related components, which was acquired by BT earlier this year.

AASA China Aftermarket Forum Works with TecDoc to Develop Electronic Car Parts Catalog

To address the rapid expansion of the Chinese aftermarket, the China Aftermarket Forum (CAF) of the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) worked with TecDoc, a leading electronic parts cataloging provider in Europe, to develop an electronic parts catalog system for China’s aftermarket. The cooperative project began in early 2007, and the first data entry training was held in Shanghai and was attended by TRW, Hella, Tenneco, SKF and Federal-Mogul.

Wade & Partners Will Now Manage HDRA

The Heavy Duty Representatives Association (HDRA) has selected Wade & Partners as its new association management company. Wade & Partners will be responsible for HDRA meetings, membership, educational services, HDRA participation in shows and conventions including the annual breakfast hosted by HDRA at the Louisville Truck Show.

Joe McAleese of Bendix CVS Elected 2008 HDMA Chairman

Joe McAleese, president and CEO of Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC, has been elected 2008 chairman of the Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA) Board of Directors. McAleese has enjoyed a 25 year career at Bendix and Honeywell/AlliedSignal (owners of Bendix prior to January 2002). During that time he has spent 20 years with the Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems business, and has held numerous leadership roles. McAleese has served on the HDMA board executive committee since 2004 and is 2008 chairman of the board. He was elected to the MEMA board of directors in 2006 and currently serves on its executive and nominating committees. He is a long-time member of the Heavy Duty Business Forum, an HDMA executive discussion group, and also serves its board of governors.
