NASCAR Angels Back On Track for Third Season, Adds Hallmark Channel to Broadcast Schedule

The National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR), Magic Dust Entertainment and Litton Entertainment, have announced that “NASCAR Angels,” the reality program that fixes the cars and trucks of deserving individuals across the country, has secured a third season of production. New for Season Three, “NASCAR Angels” will be broadcast on Hallmark Channel, in addition to the program’s nationwide lineup of 200 locally syndicated television stations. Goodyear Gemini, the show’s presenting sponsor for the past two seasons, has renewed its commitment to the program providing the help of its automotive technicians and products to perform amazing repairs on vehicles for the deserving families chosen to be highlighted on the show.

MEMA Members Tell Legislators: “Now is the Time”

The theme “Now is the Time,” has never seemed more appropriate as members of the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA) gathered on Capitol Hill this week to talk to legislators about the critical issues currently challenging the motor vehicle supplier industry. Rather than simply bringing a laundry list of complaints to legislators this week, motor vehicle suppliers that attended MEMA’s annual Legislative Summit focused on ways that the industry can be part of the solution rather than part of the problem.

GM’s Lutz May Retire in 2010

 Automotive industry icon Robert Lutz wants to retire from General Motors Corp. after the company brings a plug-in electric car to market, possibly sometime in 2010, he said Tuesday. The 75-year-old Lutz, now GM’s vice chairman for global product development, is shepherding development of the Chevrolet Volt, which the company sees as a mainstream electric sedan that can be recharged by plugging it into a household outlet.
