Nokian Tyres Prepares for the Future, Purchases Property in Finland

Nokian Tyres Purchases Property in Finland

Increasing production capacity in Europe is one of Nokian Tyres' key priorities.

Nokian Tyres is buying three hectares of land in Nokia, Finland. The property’s location, in the immediate vicinity of Nokian Tyres’ headquarters and Nokia factory, enables synergies in future development projects.

“This land acquisition creates prerequisites for future development,” says Manu Salmi, executive vice president, Heavy Tyres and Nokia factory. “The use of the property has not been decided yet, but it will allow us to continue growing in Nokia in the future.”

In the mid-term, increasing production capacity in Europe is one of Nokian Tyres’ key priorities. Nokian says the area acquired is not part of this project, but the purchased property is intended to secure future development opportunities at the Nokia factory.
