ORLANDO, Fla. At the National Automotive Dealers Association Convention (NADA) in Orlando, Fla., Insignia Group LLC and Distribution Service Technologies Inc. (DST) announced a new joint venture to offer a "complete" parts and accessories e-commerce solution for automotive dealerships. Through the JV, the two companies will share their technologies to provide dealership fixed operations departments an "all-in-one" e-business offering.
"The combination of DST’s TurboParts Network Gateway and Insignia’s comprehensive data-set and visualization tools will provide our collective customers with a ‘best-in-breed’ e-commerce toolset for selling OE accessories and replacement parts to all available dealership channels," said David Stringer, president of Insignia Group.
DST CEO Stan Gowisnock added, "DST surveys indicated that an overwhelming percentage of dealerships believed that existing e-commerce interface offerings were falling short in their most basic mission of driving additional revenue to the bottom line of fixed ops. Our collaboration with Insignia is in direct response to the requirements of dealerships for instant access to both parts and accessory information in a manner to better serve their wholesale and consumer customers."
Insignia has been helping dealers to maximize dealership profits through accessory sales for more than eight years, facilitating more than $200 million in accessory sales. Insignia currently supports 17 brands and serves dealerships nationwide.
DST has been providing proven parts supply chain expertise and technological solutions for more than 20 years. DSTWare product offerings are available in a variety of platform configurations and are scalable to benefit both single- and multi-site enterprises to effectively address all sophistication levels.
