DEARBORN, Mich. — Ford Motor Co. says it’s completing the sale of its automotive and architectural glass business to Tulsa, Okla., investor Robert Price.
The sale price hasn’t been disclosed.
The operation is part of Automotive Components Holdings (ACH), which Ford created in 2005 to manage 17 plants that Ford reacquired from Visteon Corp. That purchase was part of a bailout of the struggling parts maker. Ford spun off Visteon in 2000.
Robert Price’s Zeledyne company is buying the glass business, including its plants in Nashville, Tenn., and Tulsa, Okla., and a subsidiary in Ciudad, Juarez, Mexico. ACH Glass has about 1,600 employees in the U.S. and Mexico.
