STAUNTON, Va. Federated Auto Parts will sponsor the popular television show “Two Guys Garage” in 2011. The first episode of the season is scheduled to air on May 7 on SPEED with replays of the first episode airing on May 11 and May 12. Viewers should check local listings for air times in their area.
“Federated is very excited about sponsoring the ‘Two Guys Garage’ show,” said Phil Moore, senior vice president of Federated Auto Parts. “We will have a strong presence on the show and the Federated message will reach our target audience, professional service technicians and consumers who are concerned about protecting one of their largest investments, their vehicle. It should be a fun season and our members are really looking forward to Federated’s association with ‘Two Guys Garage.’”
Federated will have high visibility on “Two Guys Garage” as the season kicks off with the Federated “Sweet Ride” project covering four full episodes. The two guys, Bryan Fuller and Kevin Byrd, will team up with Federated spokespersons and NASCAR legends Kenny Schrader and Kenny Wallace to work on a 2004 Corvette convertible. The completed Corvette will become the grand prize for Federated’s 2011 Federated Car Care “Sweet Ride Sweepstakes” as one lucky Federated Car Care member will take home the “sweet ride.”
Federated and its manufacturing partners will not only be featured on the “Sweet Ride” project but will also sponsor nine individual tech tips including special problem-solving or educational projects throughout the season.
“Federated and our vendor partners will realize extensive national exposure from May until November on ‘Two Guys Garage,’” continued Moore. “Our emphasis will be on the quality parts and service Federated Auto Parts stores and Federated Car Care Centers provide with the ultimate goal of educating professional service technicians and consumers on the benefits of quality parts and service.”
