Expanding Globally: Recruiting Talent In Mexico

In this week’s audio interview with Global Business Professor, Jose Ruiz, Mexico recruitment expert and CEO of Alder Koten, discusses the differences in recruiting for the automotive sector in Mexico compared to a few years ago as well as the current biggest challenges.

Global Business Professor’s latest audio interview, “Recruiting Talent in Mexico,” features Jose Ruiz, CEO of Alder Koten, and Mexico recruitment expert.

In the seven-minute audio interview, Ruiz discusses the differences in recruiting for the automotive sector in Mexico compared to a few years ago and the current biggest challenges. He addresses how the policies laid out by the Trump administration are affecting recruiting in Mexico for the automotive sector and what potential candidates are taking into consideration before making a move into a new company.

Ruiz leads Alder Koten’s manufacturing and operations practice. He is involved in executive search work focused on board members, CEOs and senior-level executives. Prior to joining Alder Koten, Ruiz was a principal with Heidrick & Struggles’ Global Industrial Practice based in Houston, and Monterrey, Mexico. Ruiz’s professional experience prior to executive search includes positions in engineering and operations management working for manufacturing organizations in the United States and Mexico. His professional experience includes serving as vice president and general manager at Holley Performance Products.

He holds a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Gonzaga University, and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical and electrical engineering from the Instituto Technologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey.
