Delphi Provides Loyal Customers an Experience to Remember at Brickyard 400 Race

Event includes a visit from Mark Martin, driver of the No. 5 Delphi Chevrolet.

TROY, Mich. — Delphi recently hosted more than 70 customers for a full day of activities during the Brickyard 400 Race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on July 25.

Guests watched the race from reserved grandstand seats with great views of all the action in Turns One and Two, as well as received Visa gift cards, guided garage tours, commemorative race programs, Delphi-branded merchandise and free admission to the infield museum.

Customers started the day on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway infield in the Delphi hospitality tent with a continental breakfast. They were then led on an exclusive pre-race tour of the garage area where they saw teams preparing their cars for the Brickyard 400 race.

The highlight of the morning was a pre-race, question-and-answer session with Mark Martin, driver of the No. 5 Delphi Chevrolet. Speaking from the Delphi hospitality tent, Mark gave insights on his race preparation, his favorite racing memories, and how he works with his Hendrick Motorsports teammates to get the most out of their cars for every race.

"These types of events are great because it gives our customers the opportunity to interact with a legendary driver like Mark Martin," said Marty Mohler, territory sales director Northeast, Delphi Product & Service Solutions. "It’s something we look forward to each race season."

After Mark’s visit, guests were treated to a buffet lunch and then moved to the grandstand for the race. During the Brickyard 400, Mark Martin delivered a strong performance —  he led the race for 10 laps and ran with the front-runners throughout the race before finishing in 11th place, earning enough points to move up one space in the driver standings.
