ANN ARBOR, MI — Dana’s Automotive Aftermarket Group (AAG) has renewed its partnerships with NASCAR in anticipation of the 2004 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series. Dana aftermarket products such as WIX filters, Raybestos brakes and Clevite Engine Parts are part of the exclusive lineup of NASCAR Performance products.
“We are excited about our expanded relationship with NASCAR and are 100 percent committed to providing the products NASCAR demands to maintain a competitive edge,” said John Washbish, president of Dana’s Office of Customer Relationship Management. “Our team of professionals lead the aftermarket in offering customer-focused solutions that meet tomorrow’s challenges today.”
Involved in racing since the early 1960’s, WIX Filters has established relationships with some of the finest teams and drivers in the business, and will continue its role as associate sponsor of the Joe Gibbs Racing No. 18 car, driven by Bobby Labonte in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series. In addition, WIX supports more than 40 cars with product sponsorships in NASCAR’s NEXTEL Cup, Busch Grand National, Craftsman Truck and Goody’s Dash series.
Raybestos has been involved in motorsports since 1957. The Rookie of the Year program, sponsored by Raybestos, recognizes the top-performing rookie for all three of NASCAR’s national series. Raybestos also serves as an associate sponsor on the Robert Yates Racing No. 38 car, driven by Elliott Sadler in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series.
The Clevite relationship with NASCAR, now secured through 2010, expands to the entire offering of Clevite Engine Parts, including Clevite 77 engine bearings, Victor Reinz gaskets, and Perfect Circle piston rings. Victor Reinz and Perfect Circle are new to the NASCAR Performance family.
In addition to the NASCAR Performance program, WIX, Raybestos and Clevite Engine Parts will continue involvement in the NASCAR Contingency Sponsorship Program, awarding monetary prizes, depending on finishing order, to those teams displaying the brand decal.
