ANN ARBOR, MI — Clevite Engine Parts and the Randy Dorton Memorial Fund have teamed up to raise money for the NASCAR Technical Institute’s Randy Dorton Memorial Fund Scholarship.
A special charity auction will take place on eBay in addition to two other auctions — a silent charity auction and a live auction – both scheduled for the evening of Tuesday, May 24 at the prestigious NASCAR Technical Institute in Mooresville, NC, as part of the Final Round of the Clevite Engine Builder Showdown. Proceeds from each auction will benefit the Randy Dorton Memorial Fund.
A sample of items up for bid on eBay include:
• A trip for two at a lovely apartment suite in the poshest part of Paris
• Two tickets, including the Pepsi Speedway Sports Club and pre-race passes to the Talladega UAW Ford 500
• A complete running Hendrick Motorsports Engine engraved with Randy Dorton likeness and signature on the manifold
• Sports memorabilia from the Chicago Bulls and other celebrity athletes
• Autographed items from NASCAR’s top drivers and teams
• Tracy Lawrence concert tickets with meet and greet passes to the concert of your choice
A sample of silent and live Auction items include:
• A Rolex Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona watch – and other valuable jewelry – courtesy of Lion’s Jewelers
• A trip for six to St. Barts at the prestigious NUREYEV luxury villa
• Suite tickets to the Coca-Cola 600, Bristol and the Brickyard
• Courtside seats to the Charlotte Bobcats NBA team
• Rare wines, including autographed bottles from both Richard Childress and Mario Andretti
• Autographed items from NASCAR’s top drivers and teams

The Randy Dorton Memorial Fund was developed by Dianne Dorton, the Dorton family, colleagues and friends to further the Dorton Family’s commitment of passing the torch of knowledge on to younger generations.
“The response from the racing community and those outside the racing community has been phenomenal,” said Dianne Dorton. “There has not been a day, over the past month, where we have not received a call or e-mail from friends around the world who have wanted to be a part of this event. We are blessed to have so many generous donations and will be honored that night to have Jeff Cook, from the band Alabama, and Mitch Glen, an up-and-coming country music singer, perform their new song, ‘You Are My Shining Star’ in Randy’s honor.”
