GRAND BLANC, Mich. With the release of 75 new part numbers, ACDelco has reported that its Advantage family of premium entry-level brake pads and shoes now grows to more than eight out of 10 passenger cars and light trucks in North America.
The new products cover select Audi, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ford, Chevrolet, Pontiac, Toyota, AMC, Volkswagen and Mazda models. They are available for order via EPIC now, and from the ACDelco eCatalog in September. Currently, the ACDelco Advantage friction lineup includes more than 360 part numbers.
Introduced in 2010, Advantage friction products have been a major hit with both distributors and service centers, according to Kurt Pursche, ACDelco brake systems manager.
“All of our brake friction lines Advantage, Professional DuraStop and OE are experiencing double-digit sales growth this year, so that tells us we are growing Advantage at the expense of our competitors’ entry-level lines,” said Pursche. “Our distributors keep asking for more products, and we are hard at work on it.”
In 2009, ACDelco introduced an Advantage line of entry-priced rotors. According to ACDelco, Advantage aftermarket brake products offer fit, form and function for most makes and models similar to premium aftermarket brakes. In addition, the company says Advantage’s attractive price makes it a quality alternative to unbranded aftermarket components. ACDelco Advantage brake products are tested using industry-validated BEEP analysis.
The Advantage line will continue to grow, said ACDelco, with more rollouts planned.
