2011 Officers Seated to Lead CABA

Doug Meekins, general manager of Brooks Huff Tire and Auto in Baltimore, Md., was elected to serve as president for the 2011-2012 term of the Chesapeake Automotive Business Association (CABA) board of directors. Meekins was installed as president during the association's annual membership meeting on Oct. 27.

PASADENA, Md. — Doug Meekins, general manager of Brooks Huff Tire and Auto in Baltimore, Md., was elected to serve as president for the 2011-2012 term of the Chesapeake Automotive Business Association (CABA) board of directors. Meekins was installed as president during the association’s annual membership meeting on Oct. 27.

"I am humbled by the confidence our members have in me to be their president," said Meekins. "The challenge I accept for myself is to be a great president and to ensure the traditions of our organization."

Meekins will begin his two-year term as president on Nov. 13.

Other CABA officers for 2011-2012 include:

·    Immediate Past President Bill Cropper, president, Salisbury Automotive Inc. (Salisbury, Md.)

·    First Vice President Vernon Lyon, general manager of Mainline Automotive Parts Corp (Baltimore, Md.)

·    Second Vice President Rob Wilson, vice president, Admiral Tire (Bowie, Md.)

·    Secretary/Treasurer Bob Wilson, president, Edgewater Tire Centers (Annapolis, Md.).

Other members of the CABA Board of Directors include:

·    John Obradovic, industry consultant (Severna Park, Md.)

·    Ralph Schissler, owner, Atlantic Tire (Baltimore, Md.)

·    Paul Warner, sales manager, Uni-Select (Crofton, Md.)

·    Bryan Smith, representative, Standard Motor Products (Reisterstown, Md.)

·    Chris Lilly, sales manager, Admiral Tire Wholesale (Annapolis, Md.).
