Activant Solutions, Winsby Group Announce Strategic ACES Data Mapping Partnership

Activant Solutions and Winsby Group have announced a strategic partnership designed to increase the speed of delivery for manufacturer data mapped to the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association’s (AAIA) Enhanced Catalog Standard, or ACES. The new agreement combines Activant’s expanded in-house data mapping capabilities with Winsby Group’s new ACES data conversion technology.

AUSTIN, TX — Activant Solutions and Winsby Group have announced a strategic partnership designed to increase the speed of delivery for manufacturer data mapped to the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association’s (AAIA) Enhanced Catalog Standard, or ACES.

Established in 2001, Winsby Group, LLC, supplies application-specific data solutions to automotive aftermarket businesses. Activant is a leading provider of business management solutions designed for companies with complex products in high-service distribution environments.

The new agreement combines Activant’s expanded in-house data mapping capabilities with Winsby Group’s new ACES data conversion technology. Winsby Group President Doug Winsby was the lead architect of AAIA’s ACES delivery format and is a member of the association’s Technology Standards & Solutions Committee.

Developed as an industry-sponsored solution to the multiple data standards previously required by eCatalog providers and retailers, ACES requires extensive conversion of existing, “legacy,” AAIA eCatalog files. Winsby Group’s AceMapper conversion technology simplifies this process, leading to faster delivery of manufacturer data, according to the company.

Activant has exclusive rights to leverage AceMapper within its expanded in-house manufacturer data mapping operations. The company also will market the technology to manufacturers that have developed their own mapping capabilities.
