University of the Aftermarket Hosts Heavy-Duty Leadership 2.0

The University of the Aftermarket brought in some heavy-duty heavy hitters for its class on the heavy-duty market.

The University of the Aftermarket is conducting its Heavy Duty Leadership 2.0 class, hosted by MAHLE Aftermarket, this week. The program is a one-week, experiential commercial vehicle aftermarket-focused education program presented by the university at Northwood University.

Danielle Orlando, director of marketing and communications for HDA Truck Pride, described her experience as a great way to interact with industry peers and take a deep dive into the heavy-duty aftermarket.

“Northwood University brought a line-up of heavy hitter industry experts and delivered a healthy mix content needed to not only generate thought provoking discussion about core issues facing our industry, but they also provided a good foundation of knowledge – where we have been, where we are today and where we are going — for those of us in the room with diverse backgrounds, education and years in the industry. We talked about regulation, manufacturing and technology, but what I love most about this industry is that it always comes back to a strong focus on people – how we attract, educate adapt and grow.”

Orlando continued said her class represented “key disciplines and industry channels from manufacturers, truck parts distributors and service facilities. “What I am looking forward to most is the interaction over the next few days — working with my team and the rest of the Leadership 2.0 class to ultimately find new ways to keep making the best industry ever even better,” she added.
