Auto Care Association Announces Webinar On Business Opportunities In Colombia

Participants will hear first-hand market insight from U.S. Commercial Service automotive industry specialists, and will have the opportunity to raise questions to address specific interests.

The Auto Care Association and the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) will be hosting a free webinar on the business opportunities in the automotive industry in Colombia. The webinar will take place at 2 p.m. ET on Thursday, Feb. 23, and will provide details about the upcoming Auto Care Association trade mission to Colombia, a country profile, market information and best prospects.

The United States is Colombia’s largest trading partner. The U.S.-Colombia Free Trade Agreement (FTA) offers low- or zero-tariff rates on merchandise, increases transparency, improves the business environment and reduces market access barriers.

Participants will hear first-hand market insight from U.S. Commercial Service automotive industry specialists, and will have the opportunity to raise questions to address specific interests. Participants also will learn about the U.S. Commercial Service/DOC in-country support, as well as the Auto Care Association trade mission to Colombia, taking place on June 7-8.

The Auto Care Association’s trade missions are a part of the Market Development Cooperator Program (MDCP) award the association received from the U.S. Department of Commerce to help the automotive industry increase exports to free trade agreement partners in Latin America.

There is no fee to attend the webinar, but attendees must register at tinyurl.com/Colombia-webinar. The webinar is open to Auto Care Association members and non-members. Attendees are encouraged to register early due to limited availability.

For details about the webinar and the trade mission, visit autocare.org/trade-missions. For additional event information, contact Carolina Arregoces at [email protected] or 240-333-1037.
