ROANOKE, Va. – Advance Auto Parts has announced the addition of a Financial Services Commercial Customer Care Center to its operation and corporate headquarters located in Roanoke, Va.
The new venture – supported by an initial investment of more than $100 million, including approximately $90 million in accounts receivable and $8 million in information technology systems – now manages the entire commercial customer credit experience including commercial customer master data setup, billing, accounts receivable and collections.
As Advance continues to focus on the growth of the commercial business and emphasize customer service, the company determined that an improved credit solution was needed. Bringing commercial credit in-house allows Advance to better serve its customers’ individual needs, the company says. Customers range in size from large national chains to regional and local garages.
“The driving force behind bringing the commercial credit program in-house is to provide our customers with an increased level of value and service,” said William Corey, director, financial services. “Additionally, the program has created new job opportunities – 75 over the next three years – and helps foster the growth in the local Roanoke economy, a community we have been proud to be a part of for over 80 years.”
Converting current garages’ credit programs is an instrumental part in the rollout of the new commercial credit program. Moving forward, all new customers will receive a dedicated representative on the commercial credit team.
