ALLDATA Europe Showcases Its New Product, ALLDATA Repair for the European Market

Vast database of manufacturers' vehicle repair information includes major brands.

FRANKFURT, Germany – ALLDATA Europe GmbH, the European subsidiary of ALLDATA LLC, has unveiled ALLDATA Repair, its first product designed specifically for the European market introduced this week at Automechanika Frankfurt. ALLDATA is offering show visitors a demo of ALLDATA Repair in Hall 9.1, Booth E10.

ALLDATA Repair was created by experts for experts, the company says. ALLDATA Europe obtains OE (original equipment) data directly from the vehicle manufacturers and is authorized to make it available to repair shops. The factory-correct information in ALLDATA Repair for Europe is not edited or redrawn, and it will cover all major manufacturers as it grows.

The data includes:

• Unedited repair procedures, diagrams and specifications
• Detailed error codes and diagnostic test charts
• Electrical wiring diagrams including adapter plugs and locations of parts and cable bundles
• Current TSBs (technical service bulletins), recall campaigns and factory updates
• Filling quantities
• Tightening torques
• Mode 6 data including PIDs, TIDs, CIDs and scaling
• Factory recommended maintenance schedules and more
• Data is available in multiple languages: English, German, Spanish, French and Italian

ALLDATA currently is an official licensee of information for 12 brands: Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Ford, Opel, VW, Mini, Skoda, Smart, Citroen, Fiat, Renault and Peugeot. The first brands available online in September are Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Ford. Information for Opel, VW, Mini, Skoda, Smart, Citroen, Fiat, Renault, and Peugeot is available through the ALLDATA Info Center, in the product.

"ALLDATA Repair gives European shops a depth of information they didn’t have before," said Uli Zehnpfenning, CEO and managing director, ALLDATA Europe. "We are the first to provide this level of detail to the European market. At ALLDATA, you don’t only find some information about a car brand, you find all of it."

In the European version of ALLDATA Repair, the original tree structure of the respective OE manufacturer is preserved, and advanced search logic facilitates the retrieval of information. This structure ensures all available data is maintained. Unlike existing systems in Europe, ALLDATA Repair is focused on a consistent text search allowing users to search for familiar terms and then displaying matching information. The user does not need to learn new concepts or get used to a new way to search for information.

"Repair shops have benefited from ALLDATA Repair for 25 years in the U.S.," said Michael Krampe, chief sales and marketing officer, ALLDATA Europe. "Now, repair shops in Europe can leverage that expertise while repairing vehicles back to OE standards with confidence."

After Automechanika, ALLDATA Repair will be distributed by resellers throughout Europe.
