Gates - BMI Racer Sarah BurgessBurgess’ passion for the automotive industry has resulted in a steady career that includes experience in building performance vehicles, running a business as an automotive accessories distributor, managing race teams and racing in drift and off-road competitions. She is the only female currently competing in the 2016 LOORRS.

“I’m excited to be working with Gates this year,” said Burgess. “It is an honor to represent such a longstanding brand in the industry as well as a manufacturer that really stands behind the quality of its products.”

The company says her depth of automotive knowledge will allow her to speak with authority on topics of automotive repair and replacement. She will be promoting the Gates “Be System Smart” message, which encourages the Car Care Council’s recommendation to inspect the serpentine, cooling and timing systems at 60,000 miles and replace worn components at 90,000 miles or as advised by the manufacturer.

“We are thrilled to sponsor Sarah Burgess during the 2016 season,” said Jack Ramsey, Gates senior vice president, automotive aftermarket. “Her impressive professional resume and knowledge base as well as her ability to connect with our market make her an ideal ambassador for the Gates brand.”
