VIPAR Heavy Duty Welcomes Carolina Powertrain As Newest Stockholder

Company serves Charlotte and Hickory, N.C., markets.

CRYSTAL LAKE, Ill. – VIPAR Heavy Duty has announced that Carolina Powertrain is the newest stockholder to join its network of distributors. Based in Charlotte, N.C., with a branch location in Hickory, N.C., Carolina Powertrain is led by its president and owner John Phillips.
 
In business since 2002, Carolina Powertrain’s main location provides service within a 30-mile radius of Charlotte with two outside salesmen and two delivery trucks. The company’s branch location in Hickory opened in 2009 and serves customers within a 25-mile radius with two delivery vehicles and one outside salesman. Between its two locations, the company has 15 employees. Carolina Powertrain specializes in driveline and gearing, and provides a variety of other heavy-duty parts and services to its customers.
