TEMOT Continues Expansion Trend In Latin America

TEMOT welcomes family-owned Rural Santa Fe SA to membership.

TEMOT International has announced that Rural Santa Fe SA, one of Argentina’s leading aftermarket wholesalers, has joined the group’s worldwide network of shareholders, effective Feb. 1. The company is run by the owner’s family, now in the third generation. The company supplies 2,000 domestic automotive parts retailers and is aiming for further growth in the future – making it a perfect match for TEMOT.

Rural Santa Fe SA looks back at almost six decades in the aftermarket business and specializes in passenger cars. Founded in 1962 in the city of Santa Fe by Roberto Rossler, the company initially concentrated on bearings but extended its retail product range gradually to include other products and many brands. Today, it is one of the leading wholesalers of the country and works with many internationally renowned brands.

In six decades of history, the firm has witnessed continued growth. Employing a staff of more than 90 employees, Rural Santa Fe just recently moved into a modern building with about 25,000 square meters. The company’s central distribution center makes 68,000 SKUs continuously available to customers and offers the necessary capacities to dispatch 45,000 products on one day, living up to the company’s strategic goals of rapid fulfilment and 100% availability.

Rural Santa Fe also operates its own e-commerce platform, which allows customers a direct product search by application, OEM number or cross reference and includes about 55,000 images. In addition, Rural Santa Fe is currently assessing the introduction of an electronic catalog and a CRM system.

Fotios Katsardis, president and CEO of TEMOT International, commented, “Argentina is, after Brazil, the second-largest automotive market in Latin America and has a huge potential for our group and our new shareholder.

He added, “Rural Santa Fe and TEMOT International share the same approach toward customers and know to value the strengths of traditional family businesses. We are looking forward to realize further growth together!”
